Hi! My name is Zelda and I’m a social, very active and curious 2.5 year old spayed female. I love my foster mom and try to beat my foster siblings to the best spot on her lap:). I get along great with all my other Cavalier friends. I do like to chase cats though- opps!
I also like to dig so my foster mom always goes outside with me and I am easily distracted so the digging is getting much better. Speaking of getting distracted sometimes I’ll start to find a good place to go potty outside and a leaf will blow by and I forget to finish doing my potty outside. My foster mom is working with me on going outside on a regular schedule and going potty when she says “Go potty”.
I’m a rock star in obedience class- my foster mom says that’s cause I love love love my treat rewards:). I can walk nicely on a leash, I know the sit command, I’m getting better at the down command and am working on “ go to your mat”. I’ve aced the command “kennel up” cause I know I get a yummy treat when I go in my crate.
I would do best in a family with someone home a good part of the day and with older kids. I would also do best with another canine companion. I would also love to continue training classes. My foster mom thinks I would like agility and scent/nose work!
Zelda is heartworm positive so she will need to continue with her once a month treatment. She will also need follow up heartworm checks at 6 and 12 months to ensure it has cleared.
