Tulip is a darling Blenheim Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with a personality as warm and gentle as her name. She is sweet, playful, people‑oriented, and happiest when she’s close to her humans. Whether she’s curled up in your lap, stretched out beside you on the couch, or tucked into a recliner with your husband, Tulip is a devoted little companion who loves to be part of the family.
💕 Personality & Temperament
Tulip is friendly, social, and joyful when meeting new people. She approaches with a wagging tail and an open heart, always ready for pets and attention. She gets along beautifully with the five Cavaliers and one cat in her foster home. She and the resident cat even nap together on the couch.
She had one food‑reactivity incident on her intake day, but with structured feeding (separate meals) she has shown no further guarding. She takes group treats politely and shows no issues with other animals around food.
Tulip is inquisitive, intelligent, and eager to please. She loves soft toys—especially squeaky ones shaped like animals—and has been known to carry dog beds around the house just for fun.
🏡 Training & Home Behavior
Tulip is a fast learner and responds well to positive reinforcement. She knows sit, down, and stay (for short periods). She is house trained on a schedule, with only one accident on her first day.
She initially slept in an x‑pen with a crate and dog bed, but now enjoys full run of the house during the day. At night, she prefers sleeping on the bed with her humans.
She walks nicely on a leash and harness with minimal pulling. She is curious and observant on walks but stays engaged with her handler.
Important note: Tulip does have a tendency to dart toward open doors. Her new family will need to be mindful of doorways and practice safe entry/exit routines.
🐾 Health & Care
Tulip is slightly overweight and will benefit from losing a couple of pounds through portion control and daily walks. She recently had a dental procedure on 6/18/26, during which several teeth were removed. She may need smaller or softer kibble going forward; this will be evaluated once she is fully healed.
She currently eats 1/3 cup of kibble twice daily and prefers soft, chewy treats. Her coat is soft, long, and silky—regular brushing will help prevent matting.
🚗 Car Rides & Outings
Tulip rides crated in the car and is quiet, relaxed, and well‑mannered during travel. She enjoys meeting new people and loves being outside with her humans. If you go out, she wants to go too.
👨👩👧👦 Ideal Home
Tulip would thrive in a home with:
Someone home most of the time
Experience with Cavaliers or similar companion breeds
A friendly canine companion (optional but ideal)
A cat‑friendly environment (she does great with cats)
An active household that enjoys walks, adventures, and including their dog in daily life
She has not yet met children, so a home with adults or older, gentle kids would be the best match.
🌞 Tulip’s Perfect Day
A relaxed morning hanging out with her people, a daily walk during the cooler part of the day, some playtime with soft squeaky toys, and then curling up on the couch or a dog bed for a cozy nap. She loves being near her humans and will happily follow them from room to room.
🌷 Tulip Is Ready to Bloom in Her Forever Home
If you’re looking for a loving, affectionate, playful Cavalier who wants nothing more than to be your loyal companion, Tulip may be the perfect match. She will reward her new family with devotion, joy, and endless snuggles.
