Spot has just arrived in rescue, and we’re giving him the time and space he needs to settle in, decompress, and let his sweet personality shine through. He is not yet ready for adoption, as we’re still learning about his needs and ensuring he receives the veterinary care he deserves.
About Spot
Spot is a laid‑back, gentle, and wonderfully easygoing 9‑year‑old Blenheim boy. He’s the definition of a couch companion—happy to snooze beside you, snore softly during naps, and enjoy the simple comforts of home. He warmed up to his foster family quickly and is friendly and accepting of pets from new people.
He’s indifferent to other dogs, coexisting peacefully without seeking much interaction. He’s also been a star guest in the home—quiet, polite, and content.
Manners & Daily Life
Housebroken and crate trained
Knows his name and the command sit
Walks nicely on a leash and enjoys several short strolls a day
Only barks briefly to alert when someone arrives, then settles
Excellent in the car and handled a busy New Year’s Eve gathering with zero fear
Snores adorably when sleeping
Enjoyed his bath and grooming, even after arriving with a very matted coat—he was patient, cooperative, and is now looking and feeling much better
Spot is currently eating 1/3 cup twice daily as we help him get to a healthy weight and routine.
Medical Notes
During intake, Spot was found to have a grade 2–3 heart murmur and will need additional evaluation with a specialist. He also requires a dental cleaning. We will complete his veterinary workup and ensure we understand his full medical picture before matching him with a forever home.
What’s Next
Spot has only been in rescue a short time, so we’re still learning about his preferences, ideal home environment, and long‑term needs. For now, he’s enjoying soft blankets, gentle walks, and plenty of naps while we get to know him better.
This sweet, steady boy has all the makings of a wonderful companion, and once he’s medically cleared and fully assessed, we’ll begin the search for his perfect match.
