Sophie is is a loving 8 year old ruby girl who is very friendly and has a thick ruby coat. She is on a diet to lose a few pounds but will still be a bigger girl when she reaches her goal of 19-20 pounds. She attached to her foster mother very quickly and gets along well with her 4 foster family Cavalier brothers and sisters and loves to run in the fenced yard with them. She is completely housebroken and crate trained. Loves to ride in the car and walks well on a leash. Great with the 6 year old girl in the home a few hours every day. Perfect when being bathed. Comes when you call her name. She was diagnosed with Lyme disease during her intake vetting along with severe ear infections, a UTI and a small scarred area on her chest. She was spayed and microchipped by her prior owners. Titers have been done to determine what vaccinations she will require. She is being treated for her Lyme, a UTI, and small scab. After a month of treatment it will be decided what vaccines she requires and if she is well enough to undergo a dental. It will take approximately 6 months of treatment with medication and follow-up testing for her Lyme disease before she will be available for adoption. Only applicants in the Mid Atlantic area will be considered.
