Sammy is 8 years old and came to rescue with his sister Lexi who is 6. Sadly, their owner passed away and they were brought to a shelter where we rescued them. Sammy has only a mild heart murmur (soft 2) and is not on any heart meds. He barks a little for attention, but settles down quickly. He came with a bad skin rash which we are taking good care of. He is also a bit overweight, so we have him on a diet until he loses a few pounds. He will be in foster with his sister Lexi for a few weeks while they decompress from their difficult few weeks.
We would like to keep Lexi and Sammy together, so if you have room in your heart and house for two adorable dogs, please submit an adoption application. They are being fostered in Cambridge, Maryland and we prefer you not live too far from there as not only must you come meet them, but they must make a trip to your home to make sure it is right for them. We do not ship dogs. A securely fenced yard would be nice, but it is not a requirement because they were city dogs are are used to walking on a leash.
