Peppermint PattI in Mid Atlantic

Hi, I’m Peppermint Patti! I’m probably the cutest dog they’ve ever seen here at Rescue Trust. Just look at my freckles! I’m kind of young, they’re not sure exactly, but maybe 18 months old. I wasn’t trained when I arrived in rescue, but I’ve had a series of amazing fosters who have worked on my housebreaking, leash walking, and obedience skills. My current foster took me to Puppy Manners Classes and I got an A+! I’m doing really well, but my forever home has to promise to keep up the training so I keep getting better. I’m very athletic and love to run, chase squirrels, and birds. I’ve heard that I’d make a great Agility Dog. I’m also quite vocal, so if you don’t like a dog that has an opinion, don’t apply to adopt me. A few other things: I absolutely cannot live in an apartment: too confining. I absolutely must have a yard with a secure physical fence to run and play in, so if you don’t have one I won’t be coming to live with you. If your idea of a play yard is a dog park, that won’t do either. I love other dogs, love to ride with you in the car, and I love to play. My favorite toy is a Benebone, since I love to chew on things. I tend to misplace it, so I need someone to keep track of it for me so I don’t chew on things I shouldn’t. I get along with kids over ten so I’m hoping to find a home with some of them to play with, since I love company.
