My name is Patriot and I am a loving and playful guy in Knoxville, TN. I am estimated to be 3-4 years old but I am as playful and energetic as a young puppy.
I am not housebroken yet, but am making great progress especially since I get treats when I potty outside. Until then, I wear belly bands since I do like to mark especially with my foster brother around. I am a great eater and eat in my crate. I have just started playing with toys and will even chew on pencil or other small objects around the house if I find them, but I am not generally destructive even when my people leave the house. I am not much of a talker.
I do enjoy having foster siblings and would probably prefer to not be an only dog since they are helping me learn the ropes around the house. Although very outgoing, I still cower and roll on my tummy when my people try to pick me up. However, I LOVE my people. I have no concept of personal space and will jump into any lap to give them lots of kisses and get all the pets and belly rubs. I will even try to steal pets when my foster siblings are getting attention. I love everyone I have met so far, young and old. I don’t seem to notice the bunnies in the yard or care to chase them, but I am very interested in my foster family’s bearded dragon. I love to be around people and tend to get underfoot a lot so I may not be great around those with mobility issues.
I do prefer to sleep in the human bed but would probably adjust to a crate as long as it is near my people.
If you live within reasonable driving distance of Knoxville, TN and would like to meet me, please fill out an adoption application. I’d prefer a fenced yard and other dogs in the family.
