Molly is a gentle, soft‑souled Blenheim girl who recently joined rescue and is still settling in. She’s receiving medical care, including treatment for allergies, ear infections, and dry eye, and she has a dental evaluation scheduled. While she continues to heal and decompress, she is not yet ready for adoption, but her foster family is already learning what a special little lady she is.
💛 Personality & Temperament
Molly is the definition of a classic Cavalier—quiet, polite, and deeply sweet. She doesn’t demand attention, but when you offer it, she melts into your hands and soaks up every bit of affection. She loves napping on the sofa or curling into a bolster bed where she can rest against the sides.
She enjoys the company of other dogs and has chosen one of her Cavalier foster brothers as her buddy. Cats, on the other hand, barely register—she’s perfectly indifferent to them. She likes both men and women equally and warms up gently and steadily.
Her foster family believes she has significant hearing loss, so she relies mostly on sight to respond. She communicates quietly, often by simply looking up at the sofa when she’d like a lift.
🏡 Home Life & Habits
House trained, though she hasn’t yet learned to signal when she needs to go out
Walks beautifully on a leash
Travels calmly and quietly in the car
Will use a crate but prefers her own bed on the bedroom floor
A relaxed, easygoing girl who spends most of her day napping
A picky eater at times—she prefers hand feeding or kibble mixed with a spoonful of canned food
Loves her post‑bath blow‑outs and massages, stretching out her legs and rolling to her side to enjoy the warm air and gentle hands
🩺 Medical Notes
Molly came into rescue with several issues
Allergies requiring long‑term management and appropriate diet
Chronic ear infections that have narrowed her ear canals and contributed to hearing loss
Dry eye, treated with cyclosporine drops twice daily (she accepts them kindly and is rewarded with a tiny treat)
Moderate spondylosis (spinal arthritis) that currently does not affect her comfort
Missing teeth and a dental evaluation scheduled for 2/9
Skin allergies treated with therapeutic baths—she adored the blow‑dry portion
She is healing beautifully, but she needs time, continued treatment, and follow‑up veterinary care before she can be considered for adoption.
🌿 Ideal Future Home
When she is ready, Molly will thrive in a quiet home with at least one other dog she can follow and cue off of, especially given her diminished hearing. She does best with someone home throughout the day who can let her outside regularly and offer the gentle companionship she loves.
She prefers indoor life, soft beds, predictable routines, and peaceful company.
Molly is a tender, soulful girl with a puppy‑sweet face and a heart full of softness. As she continues to heal, we’ll share updates on her progress.
