Lincoln is just beginning his journey with us, and while he’s not quite ready for adoption, we’re already smitten with his quiet charm and soulful presence. This black and tan beauty is a lower-energy, laid-back companion who’s slowly emerging from his shell with grace and curiosity.
Lincoln is learning the rhythm of rescue life—adjusting to crate time (a brand-new concept for him), transitioning from free feeding to scheduled meals, and discovering the joys of gentle structure. He’s already mastered a few basic commands like “sit” and “come,” and his leash manners are impeccable. Truly, he’s a perfect gentleman on walks.
Though still settling in, Lincoln delights in calm companionship. He’s happiest nestled beside his people, soaking in affection and watching the world go by. He’s polite with new faces, warms up quickly, and has shown sweet, respectful behavior around cats and dog-savvy children.
Lincoln’s ideal future home will offer a peaceful pace, a similarly mellow canine friend, and humans who are around often to share in his quiet joys. He doesn’t ask for much—just a few walks, a cozy nap, and a lap to call his own.
He’s currently completing his veterinary care and continuing to adjust, so he’s not yet available for adoption. But we’re excited to watch this thoughtful boy blossom—and we know his forever family will be, too.
