Hi, my name is Lewis, my foster mum calls me Lewie, or Lew . I know my name. I am house trained, leash trained, doggie door and crate trained. I sit for treats and really enjoy them. I don’t always come when I’m called especially if I’m chasing those white butterflies in the back yard. I am a great eater and am a perfect traveler in the car and motorhome.
Mum says I’m very athletic and would be a great performance dog for agility or FCAT, apparently I’m very smart and a fast learner…except when there are butterflies to chase. I love toys and running after the ball. I am great with my foster brothers and sisters who are the same size as me. I have not yet met any big dogs. I also have not been introduced to cats. I have been introduced to children for short periods of time and Mum says with patience I will be okay with respectful children.
I am great with all house noises, no problems with vacuum, lawnmower or leaf blower.
I am shy and cautious if I don’t know you but I will come around with patience and love and treats, lots of treats. My favorite night time ritual is to take a bone up on the big bed and have a good chew before I fall asleep by my foster mum.
I am being fostered in Grand Forks, North Dakota which is pretty close to Minnesota. If you want to apply to adopt me, you should live in that part of the country. Love Lewis
