#hopeforlele Leland, aka "Lele" is a sweet 7 year old Blenheim who loves to give kisses. She came to us lethargic and in pain, limping on her front legs. Our orthopedic specialist diagnosed that LeLe has Immune Mediated Polyarthritis (IMPA), her immune system is attacking the cartilage in her joints, basically eroding how the joints connect. She required custom fitted braces to support her legs and ease the pain in her joints and was fitted for them in July. She started day long night Physical Therapy sessions the end of August where she is learning to walk again. LeLe loves sitting outside - when her foster siblings are running and barking at the neighbor friends she is so excited - barking and wagging her tail like the other pups. In fact sometimes she’s the instigator of the ruckus! She can’t wait to start the journey to walking again. Shhhh! Don’t tell her she’s not like the others - she truly does not know. She does not let her Immune Mediated Poly Arthritis dull her Cavalier sparkle. She also can be frisky and will roll around on the carpet. She loves belly rubs and laying next to you on the couch while you watch TV. We will keep you posted on her progress. Be a part of her jorney and donate today to give her the second chance she deserves.
