Kara is an incredibly brave little girl who has stolen our hearts! Kara is named for former Lady Vol Kara Lawson and she's got game just like her namesake! When she came into rescue, Kara was severly anemic and had ear infections that required immediate treatment. No one guessed that her knees weren't perfect. Kara plays with enthusaiam, so it was a shock to learn that she has two Grade 4 luxating patellas in her rear knees. According to her veterinary specialist, Kara needs surgery on both knees to ensure her ability to continue to run and play and prevent arthritis. Kara will have a very long road to recovery, but she will face this obstacle with the same happy determination as she has every other challenge.
