Hi! My name is Jack- or Jack Jack as my foster mom likes to call me:)
I’m around 14 years old and sweet as can be. I don’t like to be on the couch- I have arthritis in my hips and it’s hard for me get to get up and down and turn on the squishy surface. I’m very happy on my dog bed and blanket but prefer to be under the table right next to my foster mom:) I do have a soft fluid filled lump under my chin that the doctor says is a leaky gland. It doesn’t bother me and since I’m older they are just watching it. I also have something called cherry eye that kind of comes and goes. My foster give me eye drops so I don’t get dry eye and does gentle massage so my eye retracts.
I love to go for walks- just not very far. I also love my food and treats. My foster mom says I’m a tad chunky so I’m limited on treats:). I don’t think I’m chunky- I’m just a lovable fluff ball. I am housebroken and crate trained. I do fine when my foster is gone- I just sleep in my spot until she comes back.
I get along fine with my foster cavaliers but I don’t really play. I prefer to hang out and nap.
I like my foster mom’s grandsons but I’d prefer a home with no young kids and someone home most of the time. If you live in the Midwest (Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North and South Dakota) and have room in your home and heart for an older sweet Cavalier, please fill out an adoption application.
