George in California

George is 12 years old. He came to us due to life changes with his owner health. George is an easy going senior who loves to chase butterflys in the garden. He gets along with other Cavaliers but not larger dogs. He likes older children who know how to care for a senior dog. George loves other Cavaliers but not larger dogs so a home with another Cavalier is good. He would do well as the only dog too. He has met a cat but wasn't too fond of it so a home without cats would be best. George enjoys sunning on the patio and a romp in the yard. He likes to talk to people as they pass by and always says hello. He does have some arthritis and is on meds for them and doing well. A home with stairs is fine but prefer one with few stairs for him. George is hard of hearing and is responding well to hand signals. He has had a dental and he does have a few teeth left and had major ear infections that are now healed. George also has an anal tumor which is benign, cataracts, degenerative joint disease and a mild heart murmur.
