Emma came to rescue in January with her brother Spencer when her family had to move and could no longer keep them. Emma is 13 and totally healthy! She has no heart murmur and on no medication. She recently had a dental and is doing great. She does have cataracts, one since birth, so while she can see, her vision is a bit impaired.
Both Emma and her brother Spencer need socialization and exposure to friendly dogs, as they never experienced exposure in their former home. Their initial reaction is to bark, but we are working on improvement in their behavior and reactions.
Emma would love to stay with her brother, but told us if she has someone around a lot she would be okay with human company. She loves to go for walks so if you don't have a fenced yard, she could manage. She is being fostered in the Pittsburgh area, so if you live a reasonable driving distance from there and want to adopt a sweet older girl, please apply. If you are willing to adopt both Emma and Spencer, please indicate that on your application as preference will be given to someone willing to adopt them both.
