Claire came to Rescue with a large intake from the Pacific Northwest. We don' know her exact age, but estimate she was about 18 months old when we got her.
Claire is fitting in very well with her foster family and foster siblings, both human and canine. She has not gotten the hang or leash walking yet as she still pulls and hasn’t quite learned to pee or poop on a leash yet. However, she enjoys exploring in her foster's yard and is comfortable doing her business there. She's already responding to her name and has learned "sit" and "down" fairly quickly.
Claire is being fostered in Virginia and to be considered for her forever family you must live in that state. In addition, you must live within a two hour drive of her foster.
Claire would love a fenced yard, but it is not a requirement as long as her forever family is home a lot and commits to taking her on several walks a day. She is a young dog and needs an active family. You also must commit to continuing her training either with classes or a private trainer. This is not optional.
