My name is Charly, but my foster mom likes to call me Charly-Bear. I’m eight years old, but my foster family says I play like a puppy. If you have a squeaky toy that you need chased down and shaken, I’m your man. I came into foster care a little overweight at 30 pounds, but I’ve lost a couple pounds and at my goal weight. I wasn't super happy about the diet plan, but they tell me it’s good for me. I came into foster care with my brother, KC (check out his adoption page). We would love to be adopted together if possible, but I would also do okay on my own. I get along great with my foster siblings (canine and human kids). My first home had cats, so I’ll probably be okay with it if you have those, too. I’d prefer to be in a home where there is a person home for most of the day. I snore, but my foster mom says my snoring has improved now that I lost the weight. I LOVE going on walks. I get very excited and pull a lot, so this is something I hope you will help me with and be patient with me as I am learning to walk better. I can't wait to meet my new forever family.
I am being fostered in the Washington, DC area, so if you live within a reasonable driving distance of there and are willing to adopt me with or without KC, please apply so we can meet you. A fenced yard is not required IF you are willing to take us for walks every day and promise to take me to training classes. I was a champion leash puller before I came to Rescue. I love the outdoors. I love to play fetch, so warm up your arm!
