Charlotte is a sweet and spirited tri-color Cavalier who is recovering from her recent spay & dental, where she had most of her teeth removed. She will be ready for her forever home as soon as she recovers.
Personality & Daily Life
Mellow at home – Charlotte is calm and easygoing indoors… unless food is involved! Then her animated side shines through.
Walk enthusiast – She insists on her morning walk right after breakfast and explores with joyful energy, darting here and there on high alert.
Affectionate & trusting – Charlotte loves both women and men, greeting people with warmth and enthusiasm. She hasn’t been exposed to children, and due to her small size and trusting nature, a home without young kids will be best.
Dog-friendly – She’s curious about playing with other dogs and happily snuggles up with her Cavalier foster siblings, even if her play invitations aren’t always accepted.
Training & Habits
Knows sit and stay
Housetrained, though may have accidents when nervous or not feeling well
Crate-comfortable – She often naps or quietly observes from her crate
Working on leash manners, as she’d love nothing more than to run free outdoors
Communicates with a unique high-pitched squeak when she needs attention or a potty break
Health & Care
Charlotte recently was spayed and had a dental. She currently has itchy skin, possibly related to allergies or coat discoloration, and her foster family is helping her through this. Her coat is light and manageable, not heavy or long.
Ideal Home
Charlotte will thrive in a home with:
Another dog (or dogs) for companionship
No young children
A yard to run in or multiple long daily walks
Humans who enjoy cuddling, as she loves to snuggle close
She wakes with the sun, ready for her morning routine, then settles into naps or cuddle time. She travels well once settled and greets new people with joyful kisses.
Charlotte is ready to be considered for adoption, and will not transition until she is fully recovered from her spay surgery.
