Charli is a petite 10 year old love bug. She came into rescue when her mom went into long term care and we can definitely tell that she was well loved and cared for in her previous home. She’s well mannered, perfectly potty trained, walks on a leash and is in excellent health and condition.
Despite her age, Charli is an active girl. She loves to play outside, chasing squirrels or playing with her foster siblings. A fenced yard is a must for her to be able to get out and enjoy the sunshine. We also have noticed that an open door is a call to adventure – she is not afraid to try to make a run for it if given the chance. Luckily she is also very obedient and will stop and come back when called.
What Charli really loves though is lap time. This is a sweet natured girl who wants to curl up with you on the couch or bed and just be with her people. She’s the perfect blend of playful and loving. Whatever you want to do, she just wants to do that with you.
Charli loves attention from small children so a home with any age kids is fine. She gets along well with her foster siblings though we can tell that she would do best in a home where she is the only dog or has only one or two others, where she can get more attention.
Charli has a 4/6 heart murmur though at this time she does not require daily medications. The typical progression of this condition would lead us to believe that she could likely need medications in the future. She had a dental when she came into rescue and her teeth are in excellent condition. She has no other known health issues. She eats well and loves treats though she is not food aggressive and at perfect weight for her size.
