Carson in Great Plains

Hi! My Name Is Carson in Great Plains

We're happy to tell you that Carson in Great Plains has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Carson is a little intimidated by humans, but is slowly learning that pets are the best.  He gets along with all of the dogs here, big and small, and LOVES to wrestle with his foster brother. Carson is both curious of everything and fearless, which can be good or bad depending on the situation. Carson is crate trained, 95% potty trained, knows “crate” and pretty good on a leash, but needs more work on sit/stay.  Carson would do best in a home with teenagers or no children.  He is skittish initially, so they need to understand that he needs his new family to be extra patient with him. Carson loves treats and ice chips, and is very food motivated, so gaining his trust and training should be fairly easy once he settles in.

Carson would be okay with older children, probably over 12. To Carson, everything is a toy worthy of chewing up, so children and adults would have to keep things picked up or doors closed. Carson definitely needs a fenced yard. Carson may take more than one smack from a cat to leave them alone, as he is fearless when it doesn’t involve humans, but I think overall, he would probably be fine with them.
