Benie is a gentle, shy Blenheim girl who thrives in a quiet, calm home. She prefers the company of adults and enjoys simply being near her people, settling in for lots of naps and soft companionship. She can be timid with strangers at first, but once she feels safe, she becomes a sweet little presence who loves to follow you around.
Her happiest place is a fenced‑in yard. Benie loves to trot around, explore, and play while her people are nearby. She will walk on a leash, but she’d much rather enjoy her yard time. She gets along well with other dogs and loves to carry toys around — especially small stuffed ones. She’s a proud toy hoarder and will happily steal toys from the resident dog with great enthusiasm. She also enjoys sneaking slippers, though she never chews them.
Benie is crate trained, rides wonderfully in the car in her crate, and responds well to direction. A simple “No” makes her stop and reconsider. She enjoys treats, especially Zeke’s peanut butter treats, and eats 1/4 cup of food three times a day. Sudden noises can startle her, but storms and thunder don’t bother her. Her coat has been shaved, so it’s just beginning to grow back in.
She does not like cats, but she enjoys friendly dogs and calm adult households. Older teens are fine, but she truly thrives in a peaceful environment with predictable routines. She loves being in the yard with people present, loves carrying toys, and loves being close to adults who understand her gentle nature.
