Bear in AZ

Hi! My Name Is Bear in AZ

I'm in the Recovery Room - I'll Be Available Soon | Special Needs: Medical Condition

You see, last summer I got out and was gone several days. I went next door into their garage and hid, unknown to them they ran over my rear end and tail and I had to have my tail amputated due the traumatic injury. I now suffer considerable excruciating pain every time I try to poop, its so bad. My owner helped to the best of her ability and it was to a point she was considering euthanasia as I could barely go potty without crying out (very loudly) in unbearable pain, and the vet recommended the Cavalier Rescue Trust to help me a few weeks ago. The Trust took me in and I have been poked, prodded and x-rayed. My meds were adjusted to help the ease the pain, they did not help. Still suffering in agony when I had a poop. The x-rays showed bone fragments floating that were not removed when my tail got amputated and they are pressing against nerves causing my yelping every time I potty. The vet referred me to a neurological specialist and I had more tests that showed my insides, that was fun to see inside me! The big machine to look inside me confirmed that there are residual caudal vertebra remaining and pressing against the nerves. I am scheduled to have a very expensive surgery to remove the pieces of vertebrae, but they tell me I am worth it cause I love to cuddle so much and I’m so cute!
