🐾 Meet Asher: The Gentle Giant with a Playful Spark 🐾

Asher is a striking Cavalier with a big heart and an even bigger personality. Now fully recovered from his neuter, he’s settled beautifully into foster care and is ready to find his forever home.

Raised with children  (middle school age), Asher is loving and patient with kids. He’s a respectful cuddler—preferring to lay beside you, gently placing his head in your lap and rolling over for belly rubs. He doesn’t jump on furniture unless invited, and he always asks with quiet charm.

Crating is still a work in progress, but Asher is learning that it’s temporary. He now approaches his crate calmly and waits patiently. He’s exuberant when released—ready to stretch, play, and explore.

Asher is social with other dogs and enjoys playtime, though he’s still learning the ropes of polite introductions. He doesn’t guard food or treats, waits for his bowl, and sits nicely for snacks—even when others are nearby. He’s alert and curious, showing no fear of household noises.

Leash training is coming along well—he responds to gentle guidance and loves his walks. He’s been wearing a belly band to help with initial marking, which has eased up, but we recommend continuing it briefly in a new home until he settles in.

Asher would thrive in an active home with older children, daily walks, and plenty of playtime. He enjoys car rides, dances on his hind legs when excited, and prefers sleeping at your feet. He’s doing well post-surgery and is scheduled for a follow-up and booster vaccinations end of September.
