Scarlett in Texas

This petite shy 8 year old girl loves nothing than being petted (ear scratches are her favorite), and snuggled up next to her person. She startles with lots of movement, but moves in as soon as you settle down. She is learning to use the dog door and has had very few accidents in the house. Scarlet is smart and will adjust quickly to your regular routine. Scarlet would do best in a home where she has her own space to eat as she is protective of her food. She has a grade 5 murmur caused by degenerative mitral valve disease, but is responding to meds and doing fine. She has been spayed and had a dental. She does best with adults and would be a perfect only dog. A home with other dogs is fine as long as she has "her person" and her own space when needed.
