Gracie is a tiny, joyful burst of puppy energy wrapped in a soft Cavalier package. At just 7 months old, she’s had a big first week in rescue—her initial vet visit, then her spay surgery—and she handled it all beautifully. The veterinary staff fell head‑over‑heels for her, even carrying her around in a pouch once she woke up from surgery. She loves people, enjoys being near other dogs, and is beginning to initiate gentle play now that she’s feeling settled.
🌟 Personality & Home Life
Gracie is an energetic, curious, very puppy‑like girl. She is crate trained and currently sleeps in her crate at night, though she would be delighted to sleep in the bed if allowed. During the workday she stays in an ex‑pen near the desk—she’s far too young and inquisitive to be left unsupervised. If given the chance, she will happily explore, investigate, and occasionally nibble on things like paper or wood.
She is affectionate, cuddly once she settles, and enjoys curling up with both people and other dogs. Loud outdoor noises and rain are not her favorite; if it’s raining, she needs her person outside with her for potty breaks.
🐾 Training & Puppy Skills
Gracie is at the very beginning of her training journey.
She walks nicely on leash.
She takes treats gently… and then runs off with them.
“Come” is sometimes a game of keep‑away if she thinks you plan to pick her up.
She is learning basic manners and benefits from structure, supervision, and consistency.
She loves toys—especially balls rolled indoors and a few favorite stuffies. She’ll chase a ball outside but hasn’t yet decided that bringing it back is part of the fun.
🩺 Health & Care
Gracie is recovering well from her spay. She’s a petite girl and could stand to gain a little weight.
Currently eating ½ cup of puppy kibble twice daily
Enjoys blueberries, zucchini, and even a tiny bite of avocado
Favorite treats include Mother Hubbard Milk Bones and Acana Duck & Pear
Minimal grooming needs right now; her coat is still in its puppy stage. She is used to having her ears combed daily.
🏡 Ideal Forever Home
Gracie needs a home with time, patience, and commitment to raising a puppy. She thrives with routine, supervision, and gentle guidance. She will blossom with someone who enjoys training, playtime, and helping her grow into a confident, well‑mannered adult Cavalier. She is sweet, cuddly, people‑loving, and dog‑friendly—an easy girl to adore.
🌞 Daily Rhythm
Her day starts with an outdoor potty break, breakfast, and another trip outside. She enjoys wandering around while her human gets ready for the morning, then settles into her ex‑pen to nap or play with a toy during the workday. Zoomies may occur at any moment. She travels well in a crate and has no issues in the car.
