Meet Oliver—better known as Ollie—a sweet and spirited Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who is just beginning his journey in foster care. Ollie has only been with us a few days, but he’s already showing his confident personality and natural leadership. Compared to his foster mate, Kelce, Ollie is the more outgoing one, often taking the lead in play and exploration.

Personality & Behavior

Ollie is affectionate and has quickly learned to come sit by his foster mom for companionship.

He enjoys meeting new people, especially women, and has been friendly with the vet staff.

With other dogs, Ollie is still learning—he loves playing chase and wrestling with Kelce, but can be reactive with unfamiliar dogs.

He’s playful and toy-motivated, delighting in chasing squeaky toys and tossing them around before running back for another round.

Training & Routine

Ollie is still working on housetraining and has not yet been introduced to leash walks, as it seems he may never have been on a leash before.

He is learning basic cues like “sit” when treats are involved.

He sleeps peacefully through the night in an x-pen with Kelce and has adapted well to that routine.

Crate training is a work in progress—he’s hesitant to go in voluntarily, but once inside he settles quietly, even during car rides.

Medical & Care

Ollie is currently being treated for an ear infection and will need a re-check in two weeks.

He is scheduled for a dental cleaning and neuter before he can be made available for adoption.

He tolerates brushing well and enjoys the attention.

He eats very quickly, but shows no signs of resource guarding.

Ideal Future

Ollie is a sweet little guy who thrives on play, companionship, and gentle guidance. He will need continued training in housetraining, leash manners, and general household etiquette. His foster family is still learning how he does with children and men, so those details will be updated as he settles further.

For now, Ollie is focused on healing, learning, and building trust. Once his medical needs are complete and he’s ready for adoption, Ollie will make a wonderful companion for a patient, loving family who can continue his training and celebrate his playful, affectionate spirit.
