Personality
Outgoing and curious, Charlie loves exploring the outdoors and checking on “critters” to make sure nothing has changed.
He gets along well with other animals and people of all ages—his only wish is to be loved.
Strong-willed at times, Charlie enjoys testing boundaries but responds well to gentle guidance and consistency.
He’s working through some separation anxiety and prefers to keep you in sight, but with patience he’ll grow more confident.
Training & Habits
Knows “Stay” and “No” and has excellent recall when you bend down to his level.
Needs continued leash training and housebreaking, but he’s eager to please and learns quickly.
Because he’s still intact, he sometimes marks indoors—consistent training and TLC will help him overcome this.
Not much of a toy player yet, but he delights in outdoor play and snuggle time.
Ideal Home
Charlie would thrive in an active family who enjoys outdoor adventures and can provide structure, patience, and lots of love. He’s best placed without his brother Copper, as he tends to get into mischief when they’re together.
Health & Care
Charlie is not quite ready for adoption, as he still needs to be neutered
Adjusting to a new diet after being used to people food and Gravy Train—he’ll benefit from a family committed to healthy feeding habits.
Afraid to get into vehicles, but once inside he’s a wonderful travel companion.
Daily Rhythm
Charlie’s day starts with an early potty break at 4:30 a.m., breakfast at 6:30, and long stretches of outdoor play and sniffing. He enjoys naps in his kennel, sunshine hours outside, and plenty of snuggle time in between. His evenings include dinner, more play, and bedtime around 10:30 p.m.
