3-Year-Old Male Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
General has just arrived in rescue, and while he’s not quite ready for adoption, he’s already winning hearts with his joyful spirit and irresistible charm. This sweet, energetic boy is a people-loving Cavalier through and through—curious, affectionate, and always eager to be near his humans.
From the moment he stepped into his foster home, General made himself right at home, hopping onto the couch with a sigh of relief and settling in beside his new person. He greets everyone he meets with tail wags and enthusiasm, especially on walks, where he shines as a social butterfly. He’s learning crate training, appears to be house trained, and knows how to sit—though his favorite activity might just be gleefully dismantling his toys.
General is currently on a vet-recommended weight loss journey, working his way from 28 pounds toward a healthier 23–24 pounds. He’s thriving with structure and affection, and he’ll do best in a home where someone is around most of the time to keep him company and gently guide his energy. He enjoys the company of other dogs and may benefit from a busy, active household that understands his need for companionship and stimulation.
There’s no warm-up period with General—he’s all in from the start. Whether it’s car rides (he crates like a champ), couch cuddles, or backyard adventures, he’s ready to be part of the action. He’s still learning how to fully relax, but his heart is wide open, and his tail never stops wagging.
Stay tuned as General continues to settle in and prepare for his forever home. He’s not available for adoption just yet, but we’re excited to watch this lovable boy blossom.
