Jazz

JAZZ is a bright, healthy, energetic 10-years-young Blenheim girl that came into Rescue due to her owner passing away.  She has adapted well in her foster home despite the big changes in the only life she’s ever known.  Jazz is now spayed and is pronounced to be extremely healthy for her age—she is even heart clear!

While she now gets along very well with the other dogs at her foster home, she did have a hard time at first getting used to them. She was used to living with several other Cavaliers in her original home. Cats are an unknown with her as she has never had any experience with them.

She is a very good eater, so care must be taken to keep her at her current ideal weight. Walking and moderate exercise will help keep her trim. Jazz is not a chronic barker but will notify you when someone comes to the front door. Jazz was housetrained when she came into rescue but had never used a dog door before--being her bright self, she has quickly mastered the dog door at her foster home and is extremely well housetrained.

Jazz  enjoys the company of people over a certain age; however, she is a bit unreliable with young children.  Older teens would probably be fine. Her ideal home would probably be with adults that are home at least a portion of the day—a retired person or couple would be a very good choice for her.

Even though Jazz is a bit older, she is an extremely healthy, active dog who loves to run in the back yard so a secure, fenced yard would be best for her.   She is a delightful, affectionate little dog that loves to cuddle and would blossom in the right home. Jazz is being fostered in Northern California. For more information, contact Molly at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Kirby is a dignified, but fun loving, tri-color male who is about 9 years old and currently in Northern California. He's ready and willing to enjoy the good life with you now!

CAKirby

At the end of 2008, Kirby was removed from a shed housing over 70 dogs. His teeth were badly neglected, and he wasn't able to walk well due to arthritis and muscle atrophy. After entering rescue, he had all but 3 teeth removed. This causes his tongue to hang out, but it does not cause him any problems. He is now on low dose medication for a grade 3 heart murmur and needs ointment in his eyes twice a day.

Even with only 3 teeth, he LOVES to eat!!! Kibble is his preferred choice, and he is able to maintain a healthy weight of 14.5 pounds. He has been exercising regularly and moves much better now. Kirby enjoys human companionship more by the day, but he will still probably be happier in a multi-dog household. He's a funny little guy with a big personality and a healthy attitude!

He has caught on to house training, but a regular schedule will ensure his continued success. Kirby is a very sweet dog who is easy to have around. For more information contact Molly at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

The RescueTrust recently acquired 29 Cavaliers from a commercial breeder in California.  See the Available page for more information and photos of these dogs.   Their individual photos and stories will be posted as they are further evaluated by their foster families.

Thank you for your interest in helping one of our sweet rescue dogs.  If you cannot provide a loving home at this time, please consider making a donation to help pay for their care.
